Essendon Football Legend John Birt launches new Sports Exhibition

Sport has played a significant role in the Essendon District’s history. We recognise this with Our Sporting Legacy exhibition.

John Birt, the Essendon Football Player and coach and Essendon Grammar teacher launched the six month display on Tuesday 23 July. EHS would like to thank John for his generous time and the following who have loaned items for the six monthly exhibition:

• Essendon Football Club
• Essendon Rowing Club
• Essendon Croquet Club
• EHS Members and friends

EHS also thanks the curator, Lyndall Byrne.

The exhibition is at the Moonee Ponds Court House Museum, 770 Mt Alexander Rd, Moonee Ponds and is open Sundays 2-5pm.
