The Essendon Historical Society is dedicated to the promotion of the history of the Moonee Valley district. The Moonee Ponds Court House Museum is open every Sunday between 2pm and 5pm with exhibitions on the local area. At present, COVID-safe procedures must be followed, including visitor capacity, mask mandates and QR-code check-ins on arrival.
The EHS hosts a range of events and activities, including talks and heritage walks throughout the year. Monthly meetings with guest speakers are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month (February to November) at 7:30pm at the Moonee Ponds Court House Museum, on the corner of Mount Alexander Road and Kellaway Avenue.
