EHS is a not-for-profit organisation committed to documenting, preserving and promoting the history of Moonee Valley. The Society was formed in 1970 by a group of locals who recognised the importance of retaining all aspects of the district’s history for the benefit of present and future generations.
All EHS work is undertaken by volunteers who generously share their time and expertise for the benefit of the wider community.
As a community organisation, the Essendon Historical Society is defined by its members and their common passion for the history of the Moonee Valley district. New volunteers are always welcome.
