EHS Research

Research Information

The aim of the Essendon Historical Society is to study, record and promote Essendon and District’s historical heritage.
The EHS collection includes photographs, maps and plans of subdivisions.
It also holds many items in connection with family histories and the history of local houses, businesses and organisations.
EHS welcomes enquiries relating to historical information about various aspects of the Moonee Valley area.
At present, EHS is not able to provide public access to our research team as we have no premises available because of fire damage to the Moonee Ponds Courthouse. However, we still have access to our Collection and can accept online or telephone enquiries.
Fees are applicable for all research enquiries.
Any archival search and retrieval will be undertaken on a fee-for service basis.
The standard research fee is at the rate of $25 per hour or part thereof.
Fees for lengthy detailed research projects will be by negotiation.
All photos and photocopies are subject to the EHS Schedule of Charges
