Old Essendon Heritage Walk 3 May
Discover the stories behind Old Essendon on this guided walk with the Essendon Historical Society. Sunday 3 May 2026 commencing at 2pm.
Part of the National Trust History Festival, this guided walk includes some of Essendon’s most significant and well-loved landmarks. This walk focuses on the earliest European settlement of the area, and the places that quickly became central to local life.
Highlights include Windy Hill, Essendon State School, PEGS, St John’s Church, and classic local pubs including the Essendon Hotel and Farmer’s Arms.

Price is $20 for EHS members and $25 for Non Members. The walk will have a Guide and a booklet will also be provided.
The walk will meet at the corner of Mount Alexander Road & Buckley Street Essendon. It will take around 2.5 hours and participants are encouraged to wear suitable walking shoes.
